Tips for maintaining your pets coat between grooms:
It is so important to brush your dog/cat’s coat at least 2/3 times a week between grooming sessions
This will help to prevent matting and keep the coat in good condition.
Groomer’s recommend a slicker brush and standard metal comb for curly and straight coated breeds.  For double coated breeds a slicker brush and a rake comb.
You can purchase these tools at Suirside veterinary clinic

Brushing technique for long coated / double coated breed:
1.       Part hair into sections and use slicker brush to gently brush through coat from skin to tip of hair.
2.       Once coat is fully brushed use comb to ensure no tangles/matts.
